Nearly all energy is derived from the sun, either indirectly, in the form of heat rays and light rays.
Electrical energy is derived from the sun indirectly e.g. it can be derived from the power of water falling down a mountain side. water falls on the earth surface in the form the rain, which is known to be formed by the evaporation of water caused by the heat of the sun. this water vapour rises, consensed on cooling, and falls as rain.
The light and heat energy from coal is also derived indirectly from the sun. coal was formed by the pressure of the rock. " on vegetation grew with aid of sunlight, from which carbohydrates were formed, thus converting solar energy into chemical energy is released.
Energy used to drive car engines is derived from petrol, which was also formed with the indirect aid of the sun. plants, and animals were pressed under the rock in the earth. these dead animal and vegetable remains formed petroleum, from whic petrol and oil are now obtained.
Thus the sun can be said to be the source of nearly all energy, and that in the absence of the sun's heat and light, no life could exist on earth.

THE CITY OF LONDON
The history of london cannot be separated from the river thames. If you look at the map you will see that it is the gateway to London from the European continent. In the first century, when the Ramans occupied England, there was a small village on Lud Hill along the Thames, where the river was at its lowest point. It was about ten miles from the sea. The Romans discovered that they could load and unload their merchant ship here. So, they build a city on Lud Hill.

They called the city Londinium (meaning : City) from which the name London was probably derived. In order to connect both sides of the river, called the Thames, the Romans built the London bridge here.
A great fire in 1665 brought a big change to London. The great will surrounding the city was destroyed and today we can only see its ruins. Another change was brought by the Second World War. TRADE FOR THE GOOD THINGS IN LIFE

One person has vegetables, but wants fruit. Another man has a great deal of fruit, but want some vegetables. So the first man gives some of his vegetables to the second, and the second man gives some of his fruit to the first. He has exchanged the vegetables for the fruit. They are happy now. Trade has made them happy.
People have always traded. Why have they traded? They have traded because they have wanted a better life. At first people exchanged their things for other things. Now people buy and sell things – they trade for money.
Many foreigners have come to Indonesia for trade. The first traders came for spices. That was for very long time ago. Now the traders come here for many other things.
History has shown us that a country has to trade if its people want a better life. Indonesia is trying hard to improve its trade. It sells many things to other countries but the most important things are oil, rubber, tin and copra.
What has trade to other countries brought us? It has brought the things that we do not make. The cars that we drive, the tarin that we ride in, and the watches that we wear are examples of this things. It is not hard to understand that they have made life better.
But we can trade only if we have more things than we need. So we have to make or produce more things to sell. We have to produce more oil, more rubber, more tin, and more of other things. We have to produce better things, too, because we can get more money for them. All this means hard work for us, hard work at school, hard work at the office, hard work in the city, hard work in the country, hard work everywhere. By this way we can all enjoy the good things in life.

THE DANGER OF SMOKING MARIJUANA

Marijuana is dangerous drug. It is often called “pot” and the habit of smoking pot may send people to their graves, before their time. Pot smoking may damage the brain and other organs in the body, especially the reproduction organs. He had difficulties in concentrating on his subject at school and in the remembering things. He also began to feel sick and to get headache, especially if he did not smoke pot regularly. CAREER WOMEN

We expect that marriage and family will be more important to woman than to man. Some people say that a woman must choose between having a career and being a mother, while others encourage woman to have two roles- one at home and one at work. But men combine fatherhood and a career without anyone's thinking about it, and very few devoted husbands and fathers.
Most women hold office positions,as secretaries, file clerk, typist, or bookkeepers. Many stores also hire women to wait on customers, but all men sell most of the autombiles or houshold appliances, expensive jewelery, and furniture. Most factories that employ women carry on light industry, such as canning food, packaging drugs, or assembling small appliances. In Indonesia no women work in iron and steel production.
Women's jobs also include the service industries: cleaning homes and hospitals, working as waitress, and working in laundries and hotels. Most of these types of employment do not require much skill or training, andmany more women than men hold unskilled jobs. Factories and offices have a few women supervisors or managers
Among the professions that require a college or university education, teaching and health care provide most opportunities for women. In general, however, in these areas women hold the less important positions. Women nurses are plentiful, while women doctors or hospital directors are rare. Many more women teach in elementary schools than in universities, and fewer women are school principals than men.

These profession are plentiful for women, EXCEPT...
A.
nurses
B.
book keepers
C.
hospital directors

teachers
